compacted and short

This is decent dust extracted hay with short stems. It is tightly packed. I think I prefer the loose packed long stemmed timothy hay. This is only for the reason that long stems dont tend to get spilled all over the place as easily. Although the nutrient content varies between the two products, it seems that there are plenty of timothy hay heads in it. It just seems to be named so that a greater variety of grasses can be added as they are available. Essentially hay is recommended in a rabbit diet because it contains silica and wears down their ever growing teeth, and their gut bacteria are there to digest live or dead grass. My Bunnies arent fussed either way.

Confusing packing & pricey

I thought I had purchased forage before, which I add to Buns timothy hay. Now packaging has changed. It arrived as grass - vets recommend TIMOTHY HAY for Bunny teeth, this feels way too light. Plus cost went from A£4.50 to A£5 - that is quite a leap & the same price as Alfalfa King Timothy Hay - the best I have found. Sadly this doesn't compare x
