A beautiful dark ruby with purple glint. A spicy nose of coffee and caramel with hints of notes of jam. Long and fleshy palate with soft and velvety tannins.

Tasting Notes
Red color with purple glint, powerful and complex nose, with scents of red fruits and spices. The attack is nice and structured, with flavors of cherry and vanilla. The finish is long and pleasant.
History
Calvet is a famous Bordeaux wine merchant which was established during the 19th century. It is a very well respected name thanks to its people's expertise and to the high quality of its wines. It has become the best selling Bordeaux brand in the UK.

Wrong vintage bad enough..

...but last 2 bottles corked - undrinkable. Have to assume some bad cellaring somewhere.

Wrong vintage

Like someone else ordered as listed as 2015 vintage.Was sent a 2020 instead .It was awful & after trying one glass the rest was poured down the sink . Husbands comments - slight vinegar smell on opening .Taste was bitter & lacked any fruitiness . Check the vintage before accepting it !

Wrong vintage by 5 years!

Bought this on 5th Oct as it was listed as vintage 2015 however Ocado delivered 2020 vintage a difference in 5 years! The 2015 Bordeaux vintage was exceptional & this is precisely why I ordered this bottle. Ocado wine team - please update your wine listing to show the correct vintage that you have in stock. This is a grave mistake selling something different from what you have listed. The vintage of a wine especially for a Bordeaux or Burgundy can make or break the wine. The exact same wine can taste like nectar or harsh & cheap depending on the vintage especially when comparing with an outstanding vintage such as 2015. I hope Ocado wine team will not decide to get rid of vintage details from wine listing all together to make things easier for them as less updating , that will be a grave mistake.

Bought this on offer Had with Sunday roast. All family were very impressed.Beauriful wine.
