Since 1997, when the Despagne family signed the "Charter of quality and integrated farm management" the quality and fame of the wine has increasingly improved. Château Mezain has received many awards. The estate produces red and white wines, both are classified in the Bordeaux appellation

Corked
Its been perhaps a decade or more since Ive had a corked bottle of wine. The entire cork was soaked and the wine within just tasted like vinegar. Disappointing, but likely a one off.

Simply put - dont buy. Tasted horrible and had to throw the bottle away..

Lovely on the nose but quite sour taste and short finish. But OK with grilled chicken.

Really not nice (difficult to finish .. perhaps use it for cleaning)

Great taste shame about the cork
Bottle was hard to open and cork broke. Had similar problems with quite a few Bordeaux now, unsure why. Nice wine though
