50ml Chivas Extra 13 Year Old
2 dashes Angostura bitters
5ml sugar syrup
Orange zest to garnish
Method: Stir all the ingredients together with ice in a mixing vessel. Strain into a rocks glass with a large block of ice and then garnish with orange zest.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fruity sweet with notes of ripe pears and melon, creamy toffee, milk chocolate, cinnamon and a hint of ginger. Taste: Sweet ripe pears in syrup, vanilla caramel, cinnamon sweets and almonds in the background. Finish: Beautifully rounded mouth feel, leading to a long, luxuriant sweet finish.

TCP aftertaste
Not my favourite. Generally pleasant but has a light TCP aftertaste.

Not Mizunara
We prefer the Chivas Regal Mizunara, but this was a decent enough blend. Mix with ginger ale for a more pleasant experience. Could possibly buy again

easy to drink
Not usually a whiskey drinker but got this for a party and it went down a treat. Had great reviews from all who drank it. I found it warm and mellow. Would definitely buy again.

Hard to dislike
Mellow and warm, will make a perfect gift if you want to introduce someone to scotch whisky. I can't see them not be seduced.

Reasonable price Whiskey
I am not a great fan of Whisky, but this is okay which probably suggests a mellowed flavour that I don't dislike. Others that tried it said they did like it (normally would drink Glanmorangie or Glenfiddich), and had another.

Nice and smooth
Came in a very nice presentation box -would make an ideal gift. a very smooth, enjoyable whisky. Good choice if you like a blend.
