Not chopped tomatoes just passata
I bought these thinking chopped tomatoes. They are not they are just the tomato juice. This is so misleading from the details on the tin. I now realise that Polpa means pulp so not actual tomatoes. This needs sorting out because I bet I am-not the only one to be misled by this.
passata!!
I dont know whats going on - Ive bought these regularly, but Ive opened 2 tins of my current batch of 8 and they were passata only - no chunks of tomato whatsoever! A mistake in the production line, maybe? Nice quality passata admittedly, but when I buy chopped tomatoes, thats what Id expect to be in the tin!
Rich, but lots of skin
I've bought these before and always been happy. These days I buy Ocado or m&s own brands. Cirio being on offer was an easy swap. However, had to pick out quite a lot of skin.
Good quality
Nice and thick sauce, good taste.
quality & tasty
Lovely tasty chopped tomatoes, sauce much thicker than cheaper brands. Id buy again for when this matters, sometimes cheaper ones are just fine but if you need a thicker tasty sauce these are great.
Thick and chunky
Was sent these to review by Ocado, they are good tomatoes an a thick sauce and chunky cut. However I'm not sure I would pay full price for a tin of cooking tomatoes hence the 4* rating
