Clés des Ducs
The heritage of Clés des Ducs is a true reflection of the history of the Armagnac region, Gascony's noble heartland where the spirited deeds of d'Artagnan and his fellow King's musketeers enrich the legend of adventure.
It was against this fiery and rugged setting that the first "eaux-de-vie" appeared in the 15th century.
Clés des Ducs produces its Armagnac with an impeccable respect for traditional production methods.
Authenticity in every aspect produces the unique aroma and nose of Clés des Ducs Armagnacs, capturing the attention of the connoisseurs of "grandes eaux-de-vie".
Clés des Ducs was born in Panjas, in the heart of the Armagnac region. With aromas of fresh fruit, spices and oak wood, our VSOP possesses the complexity and richness of an aged Armagnac eau-de-vie.
Cles de Ducs is distilled more slowly than other French brandies and cognacs for a fruitier, more fragrant and flavourful product. An exceptionally complex yet easy Armagnac to drink.

Not a great armagnac
There's no vintage as its VSOP but it's very harsh. at 40% I'd expect it to be a bit smoother. On the nose it's very almondy and cherry the same you'd expect from a good armagnac but the harsh burn on the palete and down the throat is almost unpleasant. Not a bad price but I should have known. I mean, I find it a bit of a shame to use this spirit with a mixer, but maybe the previous reviewer was on to something because it's not pleasant.

Lovely
Tastes nice with a drop of ginger ale and ice, also added this to the Christmas cake!

The taste is more like a Whisky
I'm pleased Ocado have started selling Armagnac. Though this Class Des Ducs tasted too similar to Whisky, so won't be repurchasing.
