Conker Spirit Dorset Dry Gin 70cl
Product information
The Dorset Dry® is a fresh approach to London Dry gin, balancing ten select botanicals with the Dorset notes of elderberries, samphire and handpicked gorse flowers.
Distilled and bottled in Dorset's first gin distillery, the Dorset Dry embodies the bright and refreshing spirit of the county. Well-balanced and Juniper-led, with 10 select botanicals, including marsh samphire, elderberries and hand-picked gorse flowers foraged from across the Dorset coast.
No gimmicks. No fuss. Just top-notch small batch gin. Distilled in Dorset from British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water.
Tasting Notes:
You can expect an intricate gin that's slightly less dry than its London cousin. Complex, layered and with a bright freshness and intriguingly long finish that invites the second sip.
Aroma
Juniper pine forward with a hint of crisp lime citrus. Bright and purposeful.
Taste
Neat brings a complex big flavour that's well balanced, with no one botanical spoiling the show. While the wheat spirit is smooth and creamy with appropriate level of heat. Juniper leads, followed spice and slightly sweetened by herbaceous blue-fruit notes of elderberries.
Finish
Long lingering citrus. A lovely compliment of dry and sweet.
Cocktail
Clover club
This one can't fail to impress. Go from novice to pro in just a few shakes.
A wonderfully pretty serve, with a beauty that is way more than skin deep. You'll often see this made with grenadine or raspberry syrup - we'd always recommend going with fresh raspberries to do this elegant serve justice
Country of Origin
Suitable for vegetarians
Preparation and Usage
We have incorporated fresh lime peel into the botanical recipe of the Dorset Dry, which means that when lengthened with tonic, it becomes zesty and clean and incredibly refreshing.
With a classic Indian tonic we recommend keeping it simple with either a strip of lime or grapefruit peel.
Using the peel rather than the fruit keeps the drink dry and lets the gin shine through and do all the talking!

About Conker Spirit:
Conker Spirit was founded by Rupert Holloway in April 2015, launching Dorset's first gin distillery with our award-winning Dorset Dry Gin - a bright and refreshing take on a London Dry with the Dorset notes of elderberries, marsh samphire and hand-picked gorse flowers.
In the same spirit of innovation, we launched the UK's first cold Brew Coffee liqueur completely free of flavourings in 2017.
We are the real deal; the botanical foragers, distillers and the bottlers. All from our small-batch distillery in the humble backstreets of Bournemouth, Dorset. No gimmicks. No fuss. Just top-notch small batch spirits distilled in Dorset from British wheat spirit and New Forest Spring Water.

excellent handmade small batch gin
Really intense but balanced full flavoured gin perfect for a g&t with decent tonic or straight out of the freezer for a layered punchy dry martini (purists might say its too flavourful for a martini but whatever)
Not cheap but very nice
For those that were offered this free to review....I cant believe your luck! I only get offered deodorants and hair dye to cover grey up for brunettes...Im blonde. Anyway.....in an attempt to swing whatever algorithm is at work, I have bought and am now reviewing a bottle of this. I love it. Its so smooth, you could easily drink this on its own. I made a G&T with it and I didnt feel it lost its distinguished character. It is subtle, it doesnt have obvious orange, cardamom or whatever, but it is somehow noticeably nicer than average.
Fab gin
Had been sent this to review - really nice taste goes well with mixed berries in the glass, everyone who has tired it said it was one of the best they have tasted
Nice Gin, not one i've seen before
This was a nice looking and nice tasting Gin. Would be a great gift for any Gin lover. Was good to try something new.
Gorgeous!
We met the guys that make this at a food fair before they even had the go ahead from the VAT man to sell it. We tasted it and immediately loved it. It was the first time we'd had a gin that you could drink without a mixer. It tastes like sunshine and seaside and perfectly reflects where it's made.
Nice for a present
Received this to review from Ocado. Not a big gin drinker myself but friends and family enjoyed it. Comes in a nice bottle/box too so would be a nice present.
