Derived from the Mediterranean Sea, Costa Coarse Sea salt has been obtained by the simple and natural evaporation of water aided by the warm sun and wind. It is one of the vital components of taste.
Salt is one of the most effective and widely used seasonings as its binds flavours together and accentuates them. It reduces the bitterness and acidity, whilst bringing out the other flavours of the food.

Preparation and Usage
Usage Hints and Tips:
A little salt rubbed into pork before grilling adds colour to the skin and a wonderful crispy coating.
Pour a fine layer of salt on a baking tray and place a whole fish on top. Cover the top of the fish with another fine layer and bake for 25 minutes or until cooked. Delicious!
To keep salads crisp, toss in a little salt prior to serving.
Rub a chicken inside and out with salt prior to roasting to improve its flavour.
Place peeled pears, apples and potatoes into lightly salted water to maintain their colour.
Help draw out the impurities in the skin, detoxify the body and stimulate natural circulation by adding 50g of salt to bath water.
Remove onions smells from your hands by rubbing them with salt moistened with vinegar.

Good quality
I don’t find the salt hard to get out of the pack (maybe it’s still early days) so for me it’s just nice sea salt.
Salted Caramel and Chocolate Desserts
The sea salt is lovely. I've been using it in desserts with chocolate and caramel which is elevated by adding this to it. The 4* is because it's quite clunky to get the salt out but other than this, no qualms. The actual packaging makes it stand out with the bold blue colours.
Good buy!
I only buy sea salt now, as it is less refined and a better source of essential minerals than regular table salt. This is a good buy. A taste of the Med!
great salt
Absolutely perfect salty salt. I use it straight into the pan or ocassionally, crushed in my pestle&mortar. Nothing wrong with the packaging -)
Nightmare packaging
It is good value for money crystal sea salt but packaging is a nightmare. It is so difficult to get salt out of the tiny hole.
