Established in 1991, Domaine Boyar is one of the most respected wine producers in Bulgaria. Its state of the art winery is situated amidst the apple and peach trees of the Thracian Valley.

Vinification Details
Merlot grapes are processed under anaerobic conditions and the juice is fermented in cool conditions in stainless steel to preserve the fresh, juicy fruit character. This supple Merlot has forest-fruit flavours and a lightly spiced, smooth finish.

Sent as a substitution havent tried such bad wine in ages, horrible, very acidic, tasting of nothing, more like vinegar than wine.

Deer point is often my go to supplier of wine. I have tried a few different wine from them and was pleasantly surprised.

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. My husband was the taster for this as I’m not a fan of red wine! He said it was pleasant enough as an accompaniment with his evening meal but nothing special so probably wouldn’t buy as a gift but might buy it for home if on offer.

Medium bodied, juicy!

I was given a bottle in exchange for a review. This was my first time having a Bulgarian wine and was pleasantly surprised. It is quite easy to drink, with a medium body. You can taste the delicious notes of forest fruits, leaving a slightly spiced finish. Would purchase if on offer.
