*unsaturated fatty acids
Before the advent of modern agriculture, black oats were the authentic, original grain type in Norway. Grown and packaged at our small family farm, this super-oat has over 40% more healthy unsaturated fatty acids than the standard white oats. That makes it both more healthy and tasty than regular white oats. Since it is a more robust and ancient sort, black oats do not need treatment with pesticides. We are convinced that it is not only the healthiest and best tasting oatmeal around - it is also the first oatmeal in the world made from black oats!

Great still cut oats, my child loves it
mixed feelings!
I love that this is so healthy, but having to chew porridge this much takes a lot of getting used to. Not entirely sure I can get on board so probably shant be buying this again.
My only oatmeal
For years I couldn't figure out why I love oatmeal in restaurants more than rolled oats I made at home, and now I realise restaurant oats were always steel-cut! No way back for me. I simmer these for 25-30 mins in equal parts of water and milk, and optionally add butter and cinnamon at the end. Creamy, thick and delicious!
Excellent
Great flavour and texture. I cooked with half milk half water 4.5:1 ratio with a small amount of walnut raisin and mixed spice.
Fantastic oats
I thought oats were oats but these are a cut above! Delicious and satisfying. Smaller portion needed than with usual rolled porridge oats. We soak overnight in half of the water/milk then add the other half and simmer for 10-15 mins. We serve with bramley apples, stewed with a dash of maple syrup and whisky on special occasions!
I'm willing to pay extra for the health benefits!
Love the sound of these oats, bought these recently and giving them to my 2 & 6 year olds for breakfast every other day. at least I know they have the healthiest start to the day before they eat less nutritious school/nursery food!
