I am hoping that this wine will improve over time!
I bought four bottles of the 2020 vintage in June 2023 whilst they were on offer. I opened one bottle within a month, decanted it and then let it breathe for an hour or so, but to be honest it really wasn't anything too special. In-fact it was almost disappointing for a mid-range CNP. I'm really hoping that it will improve over time. I'll lay the remaining bottles, open one after nine months or so and review again! In the meantime, if you're looking for a CNP to drink immediately AND this is on offer, it's ok but nothing special and personally, I wouldn't pay full price for it!
Disappointed
Unlike the majority of the reviews so far, I did not get a free bottle to review. I was however encouraged by the positive reports and decided to buy this a special treat. It was ok, not a bad wine, but I've tasted much better for half the price. It tasted a little 'thin', and I wasn't keen for a second glass. If you want to splash out £25, maybe choose something else.
Simply The Best
I'm reviewing as I got a free bottle to sample from Ocado ! For Red Wine lovers this is a superb wine as a treat or celebration Fruity smooth dry and certainly one to savour & sip to really appreciate. Spoil yourself if you can or put this on your Christmas list
Go on..spoil yourself!
I was sent this wine to review by Ocado. We found the wine fruity and smooth with a pleasant dry after taste. Although the price is a bit out of my usual price range i would definitely treat myself again. Youd be welcome back to any dinner party if you bought this bottle of wine.
Dry, smooth and sophisticated
Im reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Full bodied and dense red wine. I must say I usually love this type of strong wines and this is one of the best I ever tried. Enjoyed it with a nice lamb roast and it made a perfect dinner.
Really nice, robust red.
I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. Usually French wines are a little on the thin side for my taste, but this is a really robust and punchy red with a lovely black cherry tone. Lots of tannins make it less easy to guzzle so it is a sipper, which means it can be enjoyed for longer. The second glass was better than the first, so letting it stand a while after opening is beneficial. I also chilled it a little before opening. Sometimes a red wine that costs slightly more than you would usually spend is worth it and this is definitely one of those - yummy!
