Let's get baking
1 Preheat the oven to 180°C/ 160°C fan/ gas mark 4 and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
2 Mix together in a bowl the Brownie mix and egg using a spoon until combined. Divide the mixture into 8 equally sized pieces and roll into ball shapes with your hands. Place onto a lined baking tray.
3 Melt the butter gradually in a heatproof bowl either in a microwave on medium power for bursts of 10 seconds or in a pan over a low heat.
4 In a separate bowl mix together the cookie mix, melted butter and milk using a spoon until combined.
5 Add the chocolate chips to the Cookie mixture and knead mixture gently to form a dough.
Tip: keep a handful of chocolate chips to one side to place on top of the brookie cookies before baking.
6 Divide the cookie dough into 8 equally sized pieces, roll into ball shapes and place next to each of the Brownie pieces, gently pressing the 2 pieces together to form balls of 2 halves.
7 Add the remaining chocolate chips to the top of each brookie cookie ball.

sticky and sweet
Children enjoyed these, I found them to be extremely sweet and a bit sickly. They baked well and had a soft chewy texture. The recipe was tricky to work with as the mixture was just so sticky.
A Sticky Misadventure
I dove into the Dr. Oetker's Brookie Cookie and Brownie Mix expecting a delicious fusion of cookies and brownies. However, the experience was far from delightful. The brownie mix was excessively sticky, resembling a stubborn tar, making it a challenge to blend with the cookie mix. Poor labeling on the packets inside the box added to the confusion, making the baking process feel like navigating through a cryptic puzzle. The final outcome was a far cry from the tantalizing brookie promise on the box. It felt like a misshapen dessert, struggling to identify as either a cookie or a brownie. Despite my initial excitement, this product from Dr. Oetker turned my usual joy of baking into a strenuous ordeal. I regret to award it a single star, as it fell short of even the most basic expectations. Unless they address these issues, I'd advise fellow bakers to seek their baking mixes elsewhere.
Pretty nothing
I am reviewing this product after receiving a free sample. Won't be buying these in the future, very bland and uninteresting
A bit too sweet
I got a free sample from Ocado to review. This tasted ok but a little bit too sweet for my liking.
Not sure what they were hoping for?!
Im reviewing these as we received a free sample from Ocado. Rather random. Wouldnt buy.
brownies and cookies
I was given these free to try and review. unfortunately I won't be buying again. makes me wonder if the actual company made and tried these before selling them as they just don't work. the brownie mixture is very wet and I could make the cookies as pictured. I made separate cookies and brownie cookies instead. the cookie ones are OK but pretty poor quality cookies. the brownie ones aren't very nice at all. they're easy to make and a nice idea but it just doesn't work
