Dunn's River Hot & Spicy Chicken Fry Mix 300g
Product information
Preparation and Usage
Directions: (1) Wash and dry chicken, cut into pieces, then dip both sides in whisked egg or milk.
(2) Place several tablespoons of Dunns River Hot & Spicy Chicken Fry Mix in a plastic kitchen bag or bowl, add the chicken pieces, then mix together until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated.
(3) Deep fry the coated chicken pieces for approx 15 minutes (if breast or wing chicken pieces) or for 20-25 minutes (if drumstick or thigh chicken) in hot oil or until crisp and golden. Turn the chicken pieces half-way through the cooking. Alternatively for a healthier option, shallow fry for approx 15 minutes until crisp and golden or oven-bake on a lightly greased baking tray at 200°C for 25-30 minutes turning halfway through cooking. Ensure chicken is cooked all the way through before serving.
Serve and enjoy!

Worrying ingredients list
So many herbs on the ingredients list, why the addition of multiple flavourings? Rather concerning.
Nice but
The colour makes it look radioactive but the taste is fine.
Works and tastes good
Cut some chicken breast into thick slices, soaked in buttermilk for a couple of hours, coated in the Dunns then deep/shallow fried, was in a deep pan so just about covered the chicken, turned half way though, 3 batches, really tasty and crisply ,go slightly hotter. That was my best batch.
great for home KFC style chicken
I use regularly. Glad Ocado now stocking. I do put it in flour, then eggs then this mix. I fry for a few mins in shallow oil in frying pan then put on a baking tray on a wire rack in the oven. no soggy bottom this way and less oil. Can turn it hslf wauy through to get all sides really crispy. use mainly on wings.
