Bodega Flechas de Los Andes is a result of the partnership between Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Mr. Laurent Dassault, on a unique terroir situated at the foot of the Andes cordillera, to the south of Mendoza.
Their search for excellence has resulted in this great blended wine made from three grape varieties: Malbec, Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Aged in 100% new French oak barrels, this wine reflects the very essence of its terroir.

This wine has a dark, intense color, with hints of violet. The nose reveals a complex mix of aromas including raspberry, black pepper, violets, cloves and subtle notes of dark chocolate
History
Named Flechas de los Andes in homage to the five arrows(flechas) that symbolise the Rothschild family, the winery was created through the partnership of Baron Benjamin de Rothschild and Laurent Dassault in their quest for a great terroir at the foot of the Andes. The vineyard, which has been cultivated since 1999, enjoys a dry climate tempered by the high altitudes of the Andes (1100m): on this unique terroir, the Malbec grape variety reigns supreme.

Vinification Details
Manual grape selection before and after destemming. Transferred to stainless steel tanks by gravity alone. Maceration/fermentation in stainless steel tanks with malolactiv fermentation allowed. Aged in new French oak barrels with medium toasted fine grained (100%) for 24 months.

Vintage 2017 - from its write up - we expected something memorable. We were wrong! It has a reasonably pleasant enough start which promises a more interesting finish - but instead it completely disappears to nothing The most noticeable thing about it is thats there is nothing behind the front!

Extraordinary depth

Blockbuster wine. Great depth and intensity, lots of spice, tobacco, purple fruit. Perfect for a special dinner treat.
