Tasting Notes
This Chilean Pinot Noir has rich flavours of red fruits such as raspberries and cherries with aromas of baked apples and blueberries. This is a beautifully soft, juicy red wine with a gentle finish from one of Chile's oldest family producers
History
Don Maximiano Errázuriz founded Viña Errázuriz in 1870 when he planted the first French grape varieties in Chile's Aconcagua Valley. His initiative, creativity and belief that the best wines come from the best land has been passed down through subsequent generations and today Viña Errázuriz remains family owned by the Chadwick family. Working hand in hand with nature, the family and winemaking teams are constantly striving to produce great Chilean wines, produced in a sustainable, responsible way.
Regional Information
The grapes for Errazuriz's Estate Reserva Pinot Noir come from the family-owned vineyards in Chile's Aconcagua Region which is located between the Andes mountains to the East and the Pacific Ocean to the West. Grapes for this cool-climate Pinot Noir are grown in a vineyard located less than 30 kilometres from the Pacific Ocean. The gentle breezes which roll off the Pacific and the early morning fog make this location ideal for producing this delicate yet fruit driven Pinot Noir.

Vinification Details
The grapes for this Pinot Noir were picked by hand and then transported to the winery, where their stems are removed and they are crushed, and prepared for fermentation. 50% of the wine was later aged in oak barrels for 6 months which gives this juicy red wine a gentle, soft, rounded finish.

Expensive way of unblocking your drains

Pricey for unblocking drains. Can't imagine anyone drank the other 743ml of their bottle unless they were really strapped.

tastes caustic

I made the mistake of ordering several bottles of this wine, due to the price and ratings. I dont know why others like it, but it tastes sour to me. Maybe theres good reason to enjoy it, but if so, its not mainstream, and I think it would appeal to niche tastes, if any at all.

Great wine

Lovely smooth, fruity red, not too heavy. I really don't like heavy reds so this suited my palate. We really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

very strong tasting wine

Both my partner and I tasted this wine and had the same opinion. Its not easy drinking wine. There is nothing wrong with it, just one for those with a much more bitter palate.

Needs to breathe

I really didn't like this wine until the third or fourth day of drinking it, then it was nice before it was nasty
