I bought these to see what it should taste like, and the proportions of mushroom supplements . I then used my own lions mane and maitake supplements plus the cheapest instant decaf coffee ocado sells, with the same proportions and it tastes very similar but way way cheaper
delivers a subtle punch
Even though it does taste like a regular and very regular in fact, instant coffee ( from the 80s as somebody earlier rightly reported - lol) it has a subtle non coffee bitterness in the taste as well and it does magically improve the focus and mood in the morning and throughout the day ( I usually have a second cup in the afternoon too for the effect to be continued. ) I would recommend for those sensitive to subtle effects of micro dosing on the natural, cognition improving substances. In an ideal world it would be great if the price was lower but the quality in terms of effect is top so the most ey is worth it. As remarked it performs worse on the taste side hence I take it with coconut oil and double cream and the taste is not an issue then.
Healthy Alternative
The health benefits of this outweigh regular coffee. I do feel a difference mentally when I have this in the morning. Its slightly more bitter than regular coffee it doesnt taste like mushrooms/instant coffee it has a unique taste that you either like or dont. Its also handy to have the sachets when travelling. Once in a while in the morning not to be drunk regularly over long periods of time then it helps. I would highly recommend I was sceptical at first but ended up finishing the box.

I usually have to order this but searched on Ocado on a whim - so excited to see you carry it. Please also add the ground coffee with lions mane! I have this daily as my morning coffee for extra focus.

If youre expecting a kind of a buzz/boost with this product, forget it. At £1.00 a cup, i was expecting something (not sure what mind you) but something. All i got was a 1970s instant coffee taste. The Mellow birds coffee taste better lol
