foul slime
absolutely gross! honestly, I am a greedy pig but theres no way I could eat this. truly disgusting!!!
tasteless
Very tasteless and soggy even after cooking for longer than stated.
Hmmmm.....
I was given one of these by Ocado in exchange for a review, although I took so long to use it that it was slightly out of date. However, tinned food keeps for ages, and it was still in good condition. I had never eaten a pie from a tin before, but I had the advantage of seeing a video review of the product on Youtube, so was confident in cooking it. And it does look appetising when taken from the oven (not a very economic way of cooking a meal for one, of course, a relevant consideration if you actually pay for one of these). The top was golden-brown and flaky and probably the best part. But the filling is a slightly weird colour for cheese and onion, being a sort of pinkish brown; and I would describe the taste as 'savoury' rather than distinctly cheese or onion. It was also wetter than I like although some people might prefer it that way. In short, not unpleasant, and okay in an emergency, but I doubt whether I would purchase one myself.
one of the worst things I have ever eaten
now I'm used to eating cheap stuff and giving everything a try but I wouldn't buy this for my worst enemy, goopy slop inside tastes more like flour then cheese, had to throw them away I'm not into food waste but I know absolutely noone that would eat them
Not as bad as I thought it would be
I used to be a fan of Fray Bentos pies when they contained quality meat, so I thought I'd give the cheese one a try. I can't go so far as to recommend it, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. For me the basic problem is that the cheese sauce isn't that cheesy and it could do with more onions. But for a simple meal, I can see that it has its place....
dreadful
Sorry, it's really awful. I think you're trying to keep the price low for people on small incomes, but this is an insult. Hollands are a better alternative at the low end.
