best GF cookies
I have never had any success with GF and egg free cookies. (believe me I have tried lots of them!) My young children made this. extremely easy. I have left them in the oven for a bit longer so they're extremely crunchy, like snaps and not crumbly at all.
Oooh not good
We usually make our own gluten free biscuits but thought this would be a good, quick alternative. Agree with other reviewers - needed more liquid than instructed and was still crumbly after baking. The taste wasn't good either - far too sweet and with a strange chemical aftertaste. Wouldn't buy this again.
Oh dear, terrible!
Bought this to keep my revising teenager happy while on a punishing timetable. Making it was easy but eating it was a disaster. No taste, just sugary hard texture. Such a shame from Doves Farm who makes delicious wholewheat digestives.
not good
Like the other reviewer, I found the water measurement a bit off. End result was like hard stale cakes, not cookies, very little flavour and pretty inedible once theyd cooled down.
take care - water measurement wrong?
Instructions say to add 4 tbsp of water. This makes cookie soup. Try teaspoons instead, perhaps. Soup is currently cooking but smells really unpleasant. I wonder if there is something wrong with this batch...
Decent cookies
I love trying a new product and was looking forward to trying these out! They are so easy, just add some water and oil of choice. Extra nuts or dried fruit if you please abs personally I love a cookie with a few nuts in so I added some cashews to some and pine nuts to the rest. I like a slightly chewy biscuit so cooked on 160 for 12 minutes and they came out well. We enjoyed them with some tea. As a new mum its been lovely to have something easy to make. I am not normally a packet type preferring to make everything from scratch so I know what we are eating but I feel like these are a nice cupboard staple for those slow and low days that need a pep of chocolate chip cookie. The only criticism, therefore losing a star, was the slightly grainy texture aftertaste. Really minimal complaint though and the fact these are also GF is handy for any intolerant guests.
