Gritty pasta

I am a big fan of this brand and buy their wholemeal pasta regularly. I liked the idea of a higher protein pasta and gave this one a try, but it was basically inedible: the texture is somehow both mushy and crumbly, plus I occasionally bit down on grit, almost as though the lentils hadn't been properly cleaned before going into the pasta. Would not go for this one again.

Interesting alternative to wheat pasta

I really like this and the nutritional boost of the ingredients is a bonus. It does cook differently from wheat pasta so a little experimentation is needed to get it to Goldilocks status.

Really Good

When this arrived I thought I'd made a mistake & as I'd ordered several packs, different shapes, all on offer, thought I'd have to give away. It just didn't look as if it would taste ok. I cooked a third in a tiny pinch of boiling salted water for just over the 10min recommendation on pack. It was really good. If you slightly undercook it then it tastes gritty as does pea pasta. So you need to test it just for you. It doesn't leave the water chock a block full of starch like pea pasta & I'm going to have it today for the second day running. Not sure how it would perform reheating it. I'll cook it fresh every time.
