Preparation and Usage
Just Add Chicken, Vegetables and Coconut Milk for Slow Cooking or Easy Pan Prep
Alternative cooking instructions:
Gordon says, "Do not worry if you don't have a slow cooker. Preheat your oven to 150°C/gas mark 3. Simply follow the same preparation instructions, place in an oven proof casserole dish, cover and cook for 2 to 3 hours or until the meat and vegetables are tender and cooked through".
Samba Spiced Moqueca Gourmet Sauce Mix
Shopping List:
800g Chicken, diced
2 Red Peppers, chopped
1 Bunch of Spring Onions, chopped
1 Tin Light Coconut Milk (400ml)
Coriander, chopped (optional)
1 Lime (optional)
Gordon Recommends:
Substituting the light coconut milk for full fat coconut milk for a richer sauce.
Slow Cooking Instructions
1. Place the diced chicken, peppers and spring onions into your slow cooker pot.
2. Blend the Moqueca Sauce Mix with the coconut milk (400ml) and add into the slow cooker pot. Stir thoroughly.
3. Cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on medium or until the meat is tender and cooked through (keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
4. Remove the lid and stand for 5 minutes before serving.
5. Sprinkle with the chopped coriander and a squeeze of lime (optional).

Gloopy!
We were sent this free to review. Unfortunately it was not pleasant at all. The sauce tasted powdery and the consistency was very gloopy. Wouldnt recommend it.

Cuba night in
We got this free to review from Ocado and made it in the slow cooker . With our favourite chicken this made a great dish for 6 people. We had our favourite fig rum and it great night. The spice was calmed by the coconut milk and the flavours were great. Would have againfor another Cuba night.

Lots of flavour but not too spicy
I was sent this for free in return for an honest review. Being vegetarian, I made this with quorn pieces instead of chicken and it was great. I also used the oven as I do not have a slow cooker. Lots of flavour but not too spicy. I served with brown rice which went well and I would buy again.
