OK..
taste OK but too mushy. not sure if I would buy it again.
Very nice
Yes, its designed to be mixed with stuff, but it has some nice seasoning and gives a healthy protein base which can be used in many meals. Good value too.
Great addition as a side with chilli
Love this!
baby food except not for babies.
Hate the puree texture (it was really disgusting), no taste and honestly I don’t understand why this product exists.
Good beans but sweet and bitter
I'm California/Texas Mexican, and these refried beans are good, but they are flavored in a way that isn't what I'm used to. Good back up, and much better than most pinto beans I've had here, but I'd rather make my own as these are a bit sweet and bitter, rather than savory like I'm used to. The beans have a bit of a bitter taste from the Green chiles which I disliked. The sweetness must come from the chipotle adobo - the vinegar etc. For me, pinto beans are boiled in water with ham hock, drained and fried in bacon grease/lard etc. so they end up fairly simple flavor wise and savory - this isn't that. This is a dish of it's own. I'd recommend adding some crumbled soft and salty cheese - like feta - to help balance out the sweetness. Don't use cheddar as British cheddar has a sweetness that just added to it, unless you'd prefer that.
Tasty!
I'd been making my own for years, but wanted to reduce the faff. Tried these and was so pleasantly surprised. So tasty and no faff! Just into a pan and heat slowly.
