Grind
Since opening in Shoreditch in 2011, Grind has grown across London with cafés and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. When we were forced to close our cafés during lockdown, we took Grind online. Since then, we've helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home.
Every minute, 29,000 plastic and aluminium Nespresso® pods go to landfill.
We make home-compostable coffee pods for Nespresso machines, which break down in your compost or food waste bin faster than a banana peel. All of the coffee in them is organic and ethically sourced from sustainable farms around the world. Every single pod is completely organic and biodegradable. To put it simply, our pods observe the characteristics of plastics, whilst being 100% plastic free.
Today, we make more than two million cups of coffee a year across our London cafés, and twelve million more are made at home. That's one every three seconds!
Charities
We also partner with Clean Hub (removing plastic pods from the ocean) and have our own charity called the Doing Good Foundation - which helps clean up the environmental mess made by other coffee companies.

Worst coffee pods
Weak / watery and tasteless
I recommend the dark blend
This house blend wasnt very nice but I tried their dark blend which was much better.
Just ok
Hmmm they're ok. not worth the money and there are better ones on the market. I wouldn't purchase again unless on a good offer. shame because they look great and I like the company itself.
poor taste
Very weak and tasteless. Shame as liked their green credentials.
great looking tin but very poor coffee
Well I would love a coffee from a company that is ethically concerned, but they really need to focus on producing a good coffee too. This is not a good coffee. Their different varieties all have identical looking pods so you can not work out which is which after you open their packs. Nice tin though.
so good Ive now subscribed
Great coffee with environmentally friendly pods. Theyve also changed the cab design slightly so there are now no sharp edges.
