Product information
Megrim or as say in Cornwall "Cornish Sole" is highly valued in Spain for its wonderfully soft, tender pale pink flesh. It is largerly underutilised fish in the UK and we are on a mission to change this. Megrims are landed by our boats all year into round into Newlyn harbour, using modern selective fishing gear to enable healthy fish stocks.

Good price, decent flavour, awful smell
I've bought this a few times now, because of its good price and decent taste. While it's easy to cook in the oven, and pretty similar in flavour to an actual sole, the smell is bad. When I open the packet, even well within date, the whole downstairs smells for hours. It's not appealing.
Firt Prize Winner.
I always enjoy soles of all kind but the Megrim beats them all.
smelly and off
Fish was very smelly and off. Not edible. Had frozen it and now cant request a refund as is a couple of weeks ago. Very disappointing!
Actually very nice fish but ...
... it smells in the fridge and needs a lot of trimming before cooking.
Smelly and off
You could smell this when the shopping arrived- even the grey carrier bag smelled it was so bad. When opened it went straight in the bin outside . I did buy it on a flash sale but still expect it to be fresh and edible when it arrives
stinkiest fish ever
When you get it out of the packet it stinks. It was well within date. So cooked it up as on packet. Wish i had removed head which may have taken some of the smell away. Flesh is delicate, a bit like sole, but the smell lingers.. whilst eating. I will never buy again. Loved the idea of buying an underrated abundant fish from Cornwall but it smells so revolting. The house stinks.
