NOT gelato! Not worth the price!
In fairness this product is by no means awful. In fact if you are looking for an average Vanilla icecream, it will not disappoint. In fact, if I'd sought to buy an average vanilla ice cream, I might not have been soooo disappointed. It seems to have quite good quality ingredients, no fake yellow colour, and you can taste natural vanilla. However, THIS IS NOT GELATO by any stretch of the imagination, and therefore I feel that it is not only overpriced, but being somewhat mis-sold. If this was a product being sold as a vanilla icecream, for a more appropriate price then I might have scored the product higher, but with it being advertised as Gelato, which it really is not, and with it costing more than even Haagen Dazs, but not tasting nearly as good as their Vanilla icecream, or that of a brand like Federici, or Joe delucio, I cannot not in good faith recommend this item, and would not buy it again. In light of what seems to be quality ingredients though, I might consider trying a couple other flavours and see if any of those warrant the hype and cost of Hackney Gelato...Thus far it has been a let down. In short, I have been eating Gelato since 1987, and this aint it! Plus, this costs more than other brands (of icecream/Gelato) that taste a lot better!
Always good
Great 3 for £10. Would definitely recommend
The best
Their entire offering is lovely, so happy they’re stocked by Ocado :)
Not for me
Bought this when on offer for £3.75, but even then, it was not worth it, in my opinion. Barely any vanilla flavour, too sweet, nice texture though. Incredibly mediocre and overpriced, in my opinion, but if it's on offer and you've got a sweet tooth, then it might be worth a try as the reviews show that loads of people seem to love it.
Nice enough
Quite a nice ice cream if you like it light, not a strong vanilla flavour, I have enjoyed this brand but noticing now the ingredients lists are not as clean as some other premium brands which is putting me off.
Just ok not worth the price
Not enough vanilla flavour, it's a shame because it's a nice texture, creamy and not too sweet.
