sooooo tender
I slow cooked in Sri Lankan curry spices and it got rave reviews. Yes, it was stinky when opened and as I dont know what venison should smell like, I pressed on with the recipe. I would buy again.
Bad smell
Similar to other posters, opened up bad smell. Thought worth cooking in case it got better. It didn’t. Wasted money and time of all the orher ingredients. Have requested refund. I’d advise others to steer clear
A rancid smell
This product smells of decomposed meat! I buy venison often from M&S, so I'm familiar with the good quality venison smell. I will never buy from this supplier again, and I have requested a refund.
Good size. Slow cooked well.
Bought these in a flash sale. They are a good size and slow cooked for 8 hours the meat fell off the bone. They werent too gamey. Would definitely buy again.
Mixed feelings….
I love all game and have no problem with a strong gamey smell. This, however, smelled disgusting when unwrapped and when sniffing more closely I found it was the bone rather than the meat. I went ahead and cooked it anyway, didn’t find it as tender as others have done, overall am most disappointed and will not buy again.
really enjoyed these
cooked according to the instructions and the meat was falling off the bone
