Too many black patches
Good sized, tasted ok, but loads of black patches we had to cut out
Nothing special
These were similar to your bog standard maris pipers. Although they were of a uniform size there were quite a few black bits that needed cutting out. Like another reviewer commented, I would rather know the variety and choose accordingly. Generally speaking reds are best for mashing, particularly desiree; but you can't seem to get them anymore.
Creamiest mash!
These potatoes make the creamiest mash! plenty in the bag for many meals in the week.
lovely mash
Love this brand as the smaller bags are perfect for two of us. Makes a really smooth and tasty mash. Bags are paper so easy to recycle too.
Not Particularly Impressed
I have tried these several times and cannot say that their 'selection' offers me anything I special. I am very thorough about the mashing process, using careful cooking to remove starch followed by a ricer and with the current batch I still found the result a bit mealy. I wish they would just offer bags of specific varieties so I could make my own decision.
Mixed Experience
first time I bought these I was so impressed, potatoes were perfect for mash and cooked perfectly. second time they looked like a completely different type of potato, were watery and sweet tasting. terrible mash! will give them a third try, fingers crossed!
