Then we slow cook each curry for hours...and hours.
We've done the hard work - so you can create your unique curry in minutes. All you have to do is decide what to add!
A Bite Sized Guide to Goa
Susegard - a favourite Goan word derived from the Portuguese word Sossegado (Quiet) sums up the relaxed, laid back life in South India's Latin Quarter. With its coastline, coconuts and chilled out lifestyle, Goa has long been India's global hippy hideout. Much like Goa itself, this curry sauce brings flavours from its Portuguese influence together with old Indian classics to make culinary peace and love, and a super easy way to recreate this Goan local favourite curry at home.

A school meal is something that most of us take for granted for our children. But for India's urban poor, a regular free school meal means they are more likely to be enrolled in school, rather than the alternative to be sent to work. A free school meal also means that children are then more likely to stay in school, receive a nutritious meal, receive an education, and have better job prospects at the end of it. Case studies have shown than not only does the child benefit greatly, but their families can be pulled out of the poverty cycle in the long run. Win win!
So every pack you buy, you'll be safe in the knowledge that a free school meal will have lasting impact on the lives of India's urban poor.
What does a free school mean?

My favourite
Quite spicey for me so added a little Greek yoghurt with some veggies and rice... super!
Perfect for chips
I bought this to drizzle over chips, for which it was perfect - not overly spicy, not sugary at all either. Curry sauces are often just spicy tomato sauce and this definitely isn't that. Will have to try it with prawns or fish next (as intended).
Ok but too sour for me
The initial taste reminded me of citric acid but it's not listed as an ingredient. I won't buy this one again but will check out other sauces in the range Why does Ocado call this a Prawn curry? This is Plant-Based! The brand calls it Goan Curry and basically, you mix it with what you fancy with suggestions for Jackfruit, Prawns or Fish. An alternative to plastic would be better.
Okay for convenience
I am reviewing a free product for Ocado. Great quality ingredients, but not my favourite ready made curry sauce. It has a nice fruity taste to it, but I found the garlic overwhelming, which is strange as it's near the end of the ingredients. Also slightly hotter than I would usually choose. I can see it's had a lot of good reviews, so probably just my personal taste that I didn't enjoy it much.
It has improved since last time
I was given this to review from Ocado, when it arrived I realised I had tried it before. It definitely has improved since last time the sauce was thicker and a better flavour, I added prawns, peppers, mushrooms and fresh chillies and we enjoyed it. I would buy it again based on the new recipe..
tasty and quick
I got this product free from ocado to review. I normally make my own curry sauces but this was very tasty. If I didnt have much time it is something I would do again
