Product information

Intense red with purple reflections. Astonishing fragrance when young, with aromas of small, red-berried fruit that matures over time, giving rise to more complex, jammy notes. Structured, warm, moderately tannic but well-balanced with just the right acidity. Soft and delicate.

History
IQUARTI is a discovery of the renowned winemaking regions of Italy. Each with a distinctive grape variety grown to create a beautiful marriage with the food of that area. A simple philosophy that unites all Italian families and friends in their passion for the ‘Art of Living Well' - that is to enjoy good food, good wine and good company. It is produced by Zonin1821, a family winery established over 200 years ago in 1821 in the Veneto region which today has estates across Italy.
Regional Information
Puglia is a sunny, dry region in the South of Italy (towards the 'heel' of the 'boot') with fertile soil. Re-knowned for its full-bodied, fruit-forward red wines which pair well with a wide variety of foods.

Vinification Details
The grapes, picked when fully ripe, are gently crushed and destalked and the resulting juice is then fermented for 21 days at a temperature of 25-28°C. Once the vinification process is completed, the wine is aged for 4 months in 350-litre French oak ‘tonneaux'.

Sorry to say my Sunday afternoon has been made a disappointment, I read the reviews and thought I would give it a go. Should have given it a miss, tastes like vinegar, poored it down the sink.

Perfect for a homemade Italian dinner

Strongly recommend this Iquarti wine. Love the bold label design that stands out from other Italian wines. This primitivo was exactly what I expected and paired very well with homemade lasagna.

Great juicy Primitivo

First time we have tried Iquarti Primitive, went great with the burger I was having. Quite fruity and bold.

Magnifico!

A revelation of flavor! This Italian Primitivo is a masterpiece with its rich and velvety profile. Bursting with luscious blackberry and plum, its deep complexity is a true delight. An ode to Italian winemaking that leaves an indelible mark. Magnifico!

Wheelbarrows of fruit

I liked the Sauvignon Blanc. But this red is even better. Jammy with ‘wheelbarrows of fruit’ as Jilly Goolden would say.
