Fruit was selected from our Estate, where sustainable vineyard practices are followed. The calcium-rich clay and limestone within the vineyard soil imparts a distinctive minerality and concentration to our wines. Low intervention and traditional techniques in the winery preserve single vineyard 'charm'. History
Isabel Estate is one of the original Marlborough vineyards with some of the oldest vines in the region on original rootstock. In 1980 pilot Mike Tiller discovered a precious pocket of land and he and his wife Robyn built a winery on the site and named it in honour of Mike's mother, Isabel. Throughout the 1980s the couple planted key noble varietals and began to deliver fruit of exceptional quality, in high demand from premium and internationally renowned wine producers.
Regional Information
The Marlborough region has a maritime climate. The cooling influence of the nearby ocean contributes to the great acidity and freshness that we know and love in wines from this region. The region also benefits from plentiful sunshine to assist grape ripening.

Vinification Details
A short period of skin contact prior to pressing allowed for the extraction of as much flavour as possible from the grape skins before they were separated from the juice. After cold settling, the juice was predominately fermented in stainless steel tanks, to retain freshness and purity, with 5% being fermented in 500L French oak barrels to add complexity and a textural mouthfeel to the wine.

Crisp \x26 fruity

I was given this for a review. This wine goes well with any seafood. Very dry and crisp. Good chill before serving always make it taste much better. I would repurchase it when it’s on offer.

Fresh and fruity \- but nothing special

I’m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. It's a nice wine - light, crisp and very fruity. It made a good accompaniment to fish. It is probably more of a Summer wine and is pleasant enough, but I would not say it is anything special.

Yes!

We received this from Ocado to review. We both thought of lychees! A wine with substance and very much enjoyed. One of the best and we will buy this again.

Quaffable

A pleasant enough wine, and many thanks to Ocado for sending it to us for a review. Being habitual red wine drinkers, we were perhaps less qualified to give an opinion on its qualities, but 'we know what we like' and this wasn't really it. Have paid half the price for a more enjoyable white and sorry, but we wouldn't splash out on this one.
