Itsu Hoisin Duck 3 Bao Buns 120g
Product information
Bao, itsu's steamed cloud-like snowballs are deliciously blessed with duck, vegetables or chicken.
Their unusual pillowy texture is the result of the dough being wet-steamed rather than dry-baked.
Heat them up & tear them open. They make a warm fluffy starter, snack or novel sandwich.
In China they enjoy them for breakfast, lunch & dinner and have done since the 3rd century.
We fill, pleat & steam ours before resting them in a special recyclable bao tray.

Stodgy and sweet
Agree with the other reviewer who said these were overly sweet. Ratio of bun to filling doesn't work either and makes it stodgy
Dessert
It’s so sweet it should qualify as a dessert. I can’t believe people actually like this and buy it more than once.
Meh
Probably good enough if you're really hungry, and it's a very quick prep, 50 seconds in the meecro-wa-vay. But there's not that much filling, the bun is a bit rubbery, and it's not very satisfying. I usually like bao buns, and Itsu is pretty decent for a chain, but I had to bin the last one.
what can I say wow
