A good Sourdough bread should be Sour and chewy
Perhaps the vinegar sourness the previous reviewer finds is the sign a good quality sourdough bread! Sour-dough bread is meant to have a bit of Sour taste ! Would love it even more if they add more sourdough culture to give an even more tangy sourdough taste!
Tastes overwhelmingly of vinegar
The density and texture of the bread was really good, but it has such an overwhelmingly sour taste that it overpowers everything else. Not buying again.
A pinch of salt ...
This shows you really need to trust your gut when buying new product. I've never bought this before, and either buy fresh sourdough or, on occasion, make it. This wasn't enjoyable, the texture, doughy, almost too moist, with an unpleasant and lingering taste. And it didn't toast well, one of the reasons I thought to buy it. I know I'm in a minority but no, this was really, really was not for me.
Received this as a substitution
I won't be ordering the loaf that I had before, this is lovely. Amazing taste, the crust on the top has a wonderful texture when toasted and it's proper bread: flour, salt, water, fermented wheat. No rubbish.
