It\x27s OK....
I still miss the, what I'll call, "classic" John West Tuna and Sweetcorn from probably 15 - 20 years ago. This one was fine, but I won't be buying again. It's quite flavourless and sweetcorn is sparse.
small tin but great taste
this is such a go to item in our house. It's not overly seasoned so good for kids too.
Multipurpose Tuna Mix
This product was previously marketed as part of the John West Spreadables range. I had not realised they had changed the name, and thought maybe they have discontinued the product! Well, they didnt, and it is now called a cracker topper, though why anyone would use tuna gloop as a cracker topper is anyones guess, though it can obviously be used for that purpose. However, this works well as a sandwich spread. The small tin has enough tuna spread for a well-filled sandwich. Get some decent bread, mix in a few drops of lemon into the tuna tin, spread it on the bread, add a tiny bit of black pepper, and voila, lunch is sorted. You can recycle the little tins, and this little tin has enough for a few crackers, one sandwich, and I have previously mixed it in with pasta, and it works well. The chilli one adds a little more flavour but I like this better.
Quite moorish, but small in size
Received this to review. It's really quite flavoursome and tasty but only 80 grams there isn't much in the tin. Would recommend as a treat only, as it's cheaper to make up your own batch.
Yum low carb snack
I ate up this whole tiny tinful with a spoon! I'm not too keen on artificial protein (my husband loves it so I buy it for him), but I'd much rather get my protein from actual food sources. I wouldn't reach for this all the time because of the fat content, but it's a great little snack when I would otherwise reach for the carbs.
Perfect alternative to old-fashioned paste!
I loved tuna paste sarnies when I was younger so was happy to find this product. Less mushy than paste, but more than a normal tin of tuna. I think it tastes great and I buy it often.
