Recipes
Rich Dark Chocolate Mousse
serves 4
Prep time: 30 mins Chilling time: 60 mins
Ingredients
180 g dark chocolate (approx. 53 % cocoa)
3 tbsp sugar
2 tsp Kikkoman Naturally Brewed Sweet Soy Sauce
0.5 vanilla pod
0.5 orange, grated
2 eggs
150 ml
whipped cream
To serve:
4 tbsp whipped cream
250 g raspberries
100 g dark chocolate
Method
Separate the egg yolks from the whites and place in two medium-sized metal bowls. Make sure that the bowl for the egg whites is very clean to ensure that they will stiffen later.
Chop the chocolate and melt this in a heatproof bowl over a bain-marie.
In the meantime, take another bowl and whip the cream to almost stiff peaks, then whip the egg whites to very stiff peaks.
Now beat the egg yolks together with the sugar, scraped vanilla pod seeds, orange zest and Kikkoman Sweet Soy Sauce over a bain-marie until the mixture thickens slightly.
Remove the mixture from the bain-marie and quickly fold the stiff egg whites, chocolate and cream into the egg yolk mixture, one after the other.
Pour this into a good-sized bowl (not too large) and chill for at least 60 minutes.
Before serving, place a dollop of whipped cream on each chocolate mousse and garnish with raspberries and dark chocolate chips.

Not sweet like Lee Kum Kee
I bought this as a replacement to the Lee Kum Kee Sweet Soy Sauce and was dissapointed. This tastes like normal soy sauce with a hint of sweet but still tastes salty whereas the Lee Kum Kee is a totally different taste of sweet.
Nice
This is nice. I had never bought sweet soy sauce before so didn't know what to expect. I wouldn't say it was very sweet. It tastes like liquid Marmite to me. Still nicer to use than normal soy sauce though.
Sweet soy sauce
Received free to review and used in a stir fry. Worked very well in the dish.
Soy Boy
Never used to be into soy sauce. Then, the wife suggested a sushi evening and poured some of this into the tiny bowl the kids had made in Center Parcs last year. Not that that had anything to do with it, you just have to take your victories where you can, and the fact that tiny bowl survived the ride home is nothing short of a miracle. The kids painted a crocodile on it and played with it in the back seats for 2.5hrs. They had it flying out of the window, making aeroplane noises (much to my amusement. We all know crocodiles don't make those noises), and not once was it dropped, thrown, or massacred in any way. We kept the tiny bowl with the nice china for when people come over, and the soy sauce episode was the end of the road, in many ways. Firstly, I enjoyed straight soy sauce for the first time in my life. But, secondly, when the kids saw the name on the bottle, my son screamed KICK A MAN, and threw his foot into my shin, leading me to drop the bowl on my way back into the kitchen and smash it, cracking a floor tile in the process. My melancholy tears, that evening, were neither as salty, or sweet, as the sauce that caused them, but I'll certainly be returning to the sauce, despite the now inherent risks associated with it.
Very tasty
I was given this as a free sample from Ocado. I found it really delicious and will buy again, in favour of unsweetened soy sauce.
Tasty tasty very very tasty
I am reviewing this product as I got a free sample from Ocado. I fried some sea bass and then cooked the noodles in a fish stock. Then added cooked vegetables to the noodle pan and drizzled with the soy sauce, plated it with the sea bass. I don’t know if it was a blend of the fish stock and the soy sauce but was yummy. I will defo be cooking this dish again.
