Not Your Usual Crab
If you are looking for traditional Cromer Crab as a star ingredient this is not for you. If you want to make a crabby pasta dish or a stir fry without breaking the bank look no further.
awful avoid
Really weird that this is even for sale. Its awful, mush and shell. Watery, grosswe had to throw it out. Seems a shame to do this go crab
Perfect for the price
Bit disappointed that this product is getting such low reviews, youre paying £2 for a tin of crab meat. The product is extremely fine and does exactly what it says on the tin, if youd like the taste of crab to sing through whatever it is youre cooking this tin is perfect. It is not chunks of crab it is almost a paste. I use this product to make crab omelette and crab cakes and it is absolutely perfect. I feel like all of these 1 star reviews were expecting something else. Id say its also ideal for crab ravioli or any other recipe that asks for finely minced crab. For a simple recipe using this product consider making a crab omelette using the whole tin to 4 eggs.
Shredded Shell
Absolutely disgusting! It is not shredded crab, it is just a shredded shell! How it is even allowed for selling to the people?
Delicious!
Tender, succulent and sweet. Generously filled tin. Just wonderful for a crab mayo toastie.
Why not the chunky variant?
This is nothing but mush. Kingfisher also offers a variant with crab chunks, called Jumbo Crab, which is sold by both Waitrose and Tesco, so why can't Ocado sell it as well?
