Terrible
Honestly this is vile. I kept looking at the bag to check it wasn't out of date. The smell and taste were sickening. Went in the bin. I can't believe they are selling this
Avoid
Not the texture or flavour of biltong; too soft and bendy with an over powering flavour of smoked paprika. Super disappointed
Not South African biltong this is JERKY
Omg where do I start.. Why call American jerky - biltong? This was so terrible I ended up giving the entire bag to the crows and foxes (they loved it lol). This is obviously made by someone who is not a South African, as it was raw and tasted of blood. This has totally gotten confused with jerky.. And biltong IS NOT jerky. They are completely different. NEVER EVER RECOMMEND
Awful!
We received this as a substitution and sadly my biltong-loving husband says it tastes nothing like biltong and is completely oversmoked and awful.
Terrible quality
I have a lot of this stuff from different manufacturers and this was the first time I had tried kings. I got 2 different flavours and I am sorry to say that the whole bag was inedible. There was more fat than meat which made it unbearable. However, I would like to add that the other flavour was incredible and definitely something I shall purchase again. This batch may have just been an unlucky draw which meant I got more fat than is usually acceptable.
thick cuts and tough as nails
Having tried and loved wagyu jerkies from the same brand we gave these a go since these are much lower in price, but these are very thick, impossible to chew meat lumps not worth the money. I rather eat less but get the edible wagyu version.
