Delicious quick dal
Great flavour and spice level, perfect with paratha for a quick and warming lunch
Decent quality for a quick lunch!
Obviously this is not going to be as good as freshly cooked or restaurant quality, but it's not bad for a quick lunch! There is no hints of ultra-processed rubbish. I eat this with freshly chopped coriander and chilli and a microwavable pack of rice. Ignore what the commentator said below about being too 'hot'! Maybe they are only used to terribly bland potatoes, because this dal is not spicy at all, for those accustomed to fiery Indian curries! I add chilli to mine :)
Just the right amount of spice
A Dal Makhani is supposed to have some heat, so happy this one does. I would add a bit of gee butter to make extra moorish.
far too hot
I love this make and Indian food but when a sauce is thats hot (after trying to dilute with yoghurt) you need to ask yourself why l) my lovely Indian friends turned their collective noses up Wont buy again
Disappointed
Made a similar one from scratch and was looking forward to trying a shortcut version, just for those extra busy days. Not much flavour in my opinion, quite bland, though the consistency and the cook on the beans was nice, they werent too muchy. Will stick to making my own one for the future and freezing in small portions for my daal emergencies.
