Preparation and Usage
STEP 1 – BEFORE COLOURING: Remember to be colour safe and always do your patch test 48 hours before use, even if you have already used colouring products before. Please follow the instruction leaflet and read the safety information. STEP 2 – PREP: Cover your shoulders with a towel and put on the gloves. Open the colouring bottle and pour it entirely into the developer bottle. Close with the applicator tip and shake it to obtain a completely even mixture. Twist off the applicator tip immediately to avoid bursting and damage from the product over flowing. STEP 3 – APPLY COLOUR: Part your hair into small, even sections and apply the colour. Refer to instructions for development time. Apply conditioner and then rinse thoroughly.

Excellence is permanent so it will gradually grow out. Does not wash out.
Grey Coverage?
Covers all grey hair perfectly.
Application on Natural Hair?
Results will vary depending on your natural hair colour. If you have never used Excellence Crème before, if you have little or no grey hair, choose a shade that is a little lighter than your natural colour.
Application on Coloured Hair?
Yes but if you wish to use a shade that is lighter than your current colour, you may need to use L'Oréal Superblonde Pre-Lightener first.
Touch up roots?
Excellence can be used to touch up roots in between colourings: colour and recolour with a perfect colour match from root to tip.
Texture:
Non-drip conditioning Crème.
Development Time:
30 minutes.
Follow the instruction leaflet.

Dark Brown & foes cover grey perfectly
You have to make sure you use a timer, it needs 25-30 mins left on to cover grey. Does not smell offensive, does leave hair ultra shiny. Lockdown learning indeed. I need a new bathroom suite, mind you!

Fantastic condition, but extremely dark colour
This colour came out almost black on me... I am hoping to recover it with a clarifying shampoo and will buy a much lighter shade next time. Hair condition is fantastic though - far better than expensive salon dye, excellent grey coverage and less skin staining. Lockdown learning!

Excellent
Been using this hair colour for many years. I've tried switching to other brands but this is the only one that will cover my grey hair properly.

Quite dark brown
Easy to apply no drips. Colour was darker brown than expected given there is also a "darkest brown" option. Overall a good purchase.

Used for years
I have never had any issues with this product. Grey coverage is excellent and lasts 4 - 5 weeks when, because my hair is fast growing, I have my hairdresser recolour it. My always smells clean and fresh afterwards. In between colours I use a colour protection shampoo and conditioner.

I didn't like this product
Left my hair smelling offensively chemical- even after 5 washes. Grey coverage lasted about one week.
