Viña Leyda, a Leyda Valley pioneer, has been present in the San Antonio Valley since 1998. In 2001, Viña Leyda succeeded in registering the Leyda Valley Denomination of Origin by demonstrating the area’s unique, privileged conditions: its coastal Mediterranean climate and vineyards planted in ancient soils that are over 120 million years old and situated just 4km from the Pacific Ocean.
Today, Viña Leyda is internationally recognised as a boutique winery, which produces the finest Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc in Chile. It should be noted that in only 20 years, it has positioned itself as the most acclaimed coastal winery in Chile with international accolades. This achievement is thanks to the outstanding viticultural and winemaking golden duo, Viviana Navarrete (recognized asChilean Winemaker of the year 2022 by Tim Atkin) and Tomás Rivera (recognized as Viticulturist of the year 2021 by Tim Atkin), who have applied their knowledge and philosophy to making wines that are in touch with and best express the cool climate and soils of granitic origin in the Coastal Mountain Range.
The winery focusses on expressing the very best terroir and varietal expression by carrying out exploratory work to select the varieties appropriate for the cool climate and by seeking balance and intervening with the plant as little as possible to ensure that it is connected to the land and merely guided by humans. This enables it to recognise its own terroir.

too sweet for a Sav Blanc
just that for me it was too florally sweet for this type of wine
Im loyal to NZ but this challenged my opinion
Lovely wine very drinkable and nice aftertaste. I love NZ Sauvignon blanc but now Ive tried this Im happy to be challenged otherwise
Lovely Wine
I bought this as a new wine for me and it was lovely. Crisp, citrussy and mineral. From a cool climate area of Chile, the flavour is a delight.
Good but better on the market for the money
Im reviewing this product because I received a free sample from Ocado. Reasonably lively drop with some natural effervescence. Nice hints of basil and Kiwi with a slightly flinty finish. Pleasant but Im not sure Id pay full price considering some of the other SBs on Ocado
Nice and Light
Really nice light tasting wine
Refreshing
I was sent a free sample from Ocado in exchange for a review. We enjoyed this wine, we dont often drink white wine and I wouldnt pick a white wine from Chile. It was very pleasant and refreshing, dry and not too acidic. Will buy again.
