Storage

For Use By, see front of pack. Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C. Suitable for freezing. Freeze by date mark shown and use within 3 months. Once defrosted (in a refrigerator) use immediately. Defrost thoroughly before use.

Instructions

Cooking Instructions - General.
Fry 5 mins then oven 12 mins
Remove all packaging and preheat oven.
Heat 1tbsp of oil in a frying pan, season steaks. Fry on a high heat for 2 mins each side.
Turn steak onto fat edge and fry for further 1 min.
Place onto a baking tray on middle shelf of oven for 12 mins.
Rest for 2 mins before serving.
Ensure juices run clear and product is piping hot throughout before serving.

Lovely!

Followed the instructions to the letter (for a change!), and they turned out perfectly. Ate one and kept the other in the fridge and shredded it up the next day, fried it off for a wrap - delicious. And really good value.

Not as good as Ocado version

Ocado chops are much better but this is ok to eat.

Not thick and Not tasty

Should have realised that 350g is not going to be 2 "Thick" steaks. The cooking instructions relate to a true thick cut piece of pork and these need far less time or they will go tough. Real disappointment was the lack of flavour - as someone else pointed out outdoor bred does equal free range in either welfare or meat quality.

Either really delicious or totally inedible

We had these one week and they were really delicious. Cooked in the oven in egg and stuffing and served with roast potatoes and cabbage. Lovely and tender and utterly delicious. We ordered them the next week and were totally inedible and most got thrown away. Massive amounts of fat on them and when cooked, the meat was so hard that I could barely cut through it. Was almost impossible to chew as it was so hard and had a weird fatty taste to the meat, even when you weren't eating any of the fat. Such a shame.
