Storage
For Use By, see front of pack. Keep refrigerated 0°C to +5°C. Once opened use immediately. Suitable for freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within three months. Once defrosted (in a refrigerator) consume within 24 hours. Defrost thoroughly before use. Do not refreeze.
Preparation and Usage
Carving
To ensure your chicken looks as good as it tastes, here are some useful tips on carving. All you need is a sharp knife and a carving fork to hold the bird safely in position.
1. Lift one end of the drumstick and use it to pull the whole leg away from the body, then cut through the joint between the thigh and the body.
2. Turn the chicken so the neck is facing you. Slice the breast meat evenly, carving into long slices parallel with the breast bone.
3. Hold leg by end of drumstick, slice through joint to separate drumstick and thigh.
4. Drumstick meat can be carved off in a vertical direction.
5. Using carving fork hold thigh in place and carve meat either side of the bone.

Instructions
Cooking Instructions - General. Do not reheat.; Oven cook - From Chilled. Preheat oven. Do not remove packaging. Place chicken in the bag onto a baking tray. Gently pull film away from the chicken, and place onto the middle shelf of oven. See front of pack label for cooking time. After 45 mins, cut bag along dotted lines for crispy chicken skin. Return to the oven and baste frequently during cooking.
Electric 180°C, Fan 160°C, Gas 4, 40 mins + 30 mins per kg
Remove from oven and leave to stand for 10 mins before carving. Check that product is thoroughly cooked before serving.

Very salty
This chicken disappointed me. It was very salty. The flesh was a little dry. I can make cook chicken than these instructions and flavours and won’t be buying again..

perfect for a mid week roast
We have one every week, so quick and easy and delicious. Moister than most other chickens, especially the dry husk that is the daylesford organic chicken!

This is not rotisserie chicken! Its a row chicken and need to be cooked in the owen !

Lovely bird but rip off price
This is a lovely tasting chicken. We used to buy it frequently. M&S sell it cheaper in store than on Ocado. Also the price has rocketed from £6.60 to 9 quid on Ocado which is crazy- that's why we no longer buy it

Moist and tasty
Cooked beautifully. Nice moist chicken. 3 of us ate it as part of our Sunday roast and there was enough left over for two lunches the following day. Very good value.
