Broccoli florets, tangy tomato sauce and mature Cheddar cheese in a creamy egg custard, in a shortcrust pastry case. Ready to eat hot or cold. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes to serve hot. Serves 1.

Instructions
Electric 220°C, Fan 200°C, Gas 7, 15 mins
To serve hot - preheat oven. Remove carton. For best results remove from foil tray. Place on preheated baking tray. Do not reheat.
This product can be served hot or cold
To serve cold - for an even crispier product when eating cold, heat as above and allow to cool on a wire rack before serving. Eat within 12 hours of heating. This product may also be eaten without heating. Remove from fridge 30 mins before serving.

tastless marks have cut down on broccoli tomato and cheddar nothing to it now

Contains E471 which can contain trans fat. I dont want to take the risk. Its such a shame that E471 is in virtually everything !
Good mistake
Bought by mistake, but really enjoyed it. Good proportions and the tomato taste came through with every bite. Will make same mistake and buy again 🙃
Best after being cooked
Even if you want to eat it cold, cook it first and, like many shop bought items with pastry, it is much nicer even cold in a lunch box the next day.
Recipe now not so good
This used to be one of my favourite M&S products and has been for years, and was always a treat to have. However, after not having had one for a while I was disappointed with the flavour. The size for one, texture and pastry are all fine, but it really doesn’t taste of anything - not cheese, not broccoli, nothing! It needs a really good layer of flavoursome tomato sauce putting in it, plus more seasoning or herbs, and I expect more cheese is needed too. It’s too bland currently for me to consider buying again. I hope there is a rethink of the recipe.
