its a ready meal!
After a 14 hour day I am not going through cook this meal. Okay, so its not amazing but there is nothing wrong with it other than the price..no gristle or nasty stuff. Just a good staple once a month.
Hope you like spitting out gristle...
I'm getting really sick of the drop in quality with these lately, this and a couple of others in the ready meals range have begun to include really poor quality cuts of meat. I've had about half a dozen recently where I've almost gagged halfway through my dinner due to a large, inedible chunk of gristle/ cartilage being left in (with the chicken especially) or the 'meat' actually just being mostly fatty chunks congealed in a ball with a little meat in between (such as the bacon in the chicken and bacon pasta meal). As someone with little time to cook fresh meals often, I was willing to pay a little more to get decent quality, but what's the point of buying from M&S if you're going to get ASDA smart price quality? This has only happened in the last couple of months, so I assume they've changed where they make them/ have cut corners to increase profits -- pretty shameful to let QA drop this low when you're a brand that (should be) synonymous with quality. I understand you're not going to get restaurant quality when buying ready meals, but including parts of the meat that most would consider waste is just ridiculous...
Recipe changed, avoid
The recipe or supplier has changed sometime in the past few weeks. Now there is far too much citrus and parsley, overpowering everything else, the sauce is incredibly runny and unpleasant, and the pasta is like rubber. It was never the greatest, but now it's pretty disgusting. Won't be buying again.
Worst M&S meal Ive had
Dont know if I had a duff one but the sauce was so watery it was sliding around the plate: the meal itself just tasted like parsley and looked like slop
Boring
pretty tasteless
Change of recipe
l used to really enjoy this pasta meal but the one l received was devoid of chicken and bacon the sauce was bland and runny. Would not be buying again and won't be recommending it
