not nice
I dont what is up with these lately. This tasted awful, like it had gone off - rancid! Slimy potatoes. So definitely something is really wrong with these meals. I chucked it in the bin after one mouthful. I found the same issue with the beef one too. Need to avoid these for a really long while and hope M&S sort out the issue with these.
Not nice
I ordered the beef version of this, which is lovely, but got this as a substitute. Not as nice as beef version. This had a small quantity of tasteless chicken with equally tasteless lump of soggy stuffing and two minute tasteless sausage shapes. The grave was thick but with little flavour. The Yorkshire pudding was the only decent part and even that leaked during the cooking/ heating process. If one of these is sent as a substitute again, I shall refuse it. I hope Ocado have the beef ones again next week, they are so much nicer.
Weird Flavour and Not Enough Chicken!
Weird and strong tasting gravy covers nearly all the dinner. Very herby and strangely acrid. Not enough chicken and too much pork. Should be called Chicken and Pork Yorkshire Dinner! Very unpleasant and would not recommend or buy again. Not worth £5.00!
Disappointed. recipe changes
This used to be utterly delicious and felt like a treat. The recipe has been changed. Gravy ruined. Chicken dry. Weird new flavour profile that was frankly unpleasant. What a disaster.
Potatoes a big disappointment
The potatoes are not crispy as described. They are at best blanched with no coating. The only way to make them crispy is to individually fish them out and cook them separately which kinda of ruins the convenience of the meal.
Still great!
I was really put off ordering this because of the negative reviews. However this was always one of our favourite winter mid week meals, I cook some cauliflower cheese to have with it. I think it has even more chicken and better tasting chicken than before. Delicious!
