From reading some of the reviews here, I cant believe I had the same meal. I think the key it to cook, stir, cook and it come out perfect. I had plenty of both meat and beans with mine and added a nice bit of side salad which gave this meal a perfect balance of textures and a nice contrast between hot food and cold food.
Oddly insubstantial
Tastes fine, sort of, but the chilli is very runny and has very few beans or signs of meat. The rice somehow manages to taste watery. Wouldn't recommend.

edible, but had a weird taste, very runny, not much meat or beans. rice hard. would not buy again.
good Standby dinner
Only buy if on offer as price is ridiculous but this is a good quick dinner. Plenty of black beans in there but some batches are very low on kidney beans. Overall, like so many of the count on us ready meals these are a good option which will leave you satisfied.
What happened to this?
I used to like this as a quick and easy meal but it has been changed as have so many other M&S foods. Full of horrible gloopy flavourless 'gravy' like stuff and left a nasty aftertaste. I bought 2 as they were on offer. Threw the second one in the bin. IMO the worst thing to happen to Ocado was partnering with M&S.

Absolutely awful, all sauce virtually no meat or anything else, couldn't be eaten with a fork. It honestly made baby food look substantial. Avoid
