Once heated, serve alongside your favourite grilled meat. Why not try... pan frying a chicken breast until golden, add sauce to pan and simmer until hot.
Instructions
Do not reheat.; Hob - From Ambient. Empty contents into a suitable saucepan and heat gently stirring occasionally. Do not boil.; Microwave - From Ambient. Cut pouch along the top before placing in microwave. Heat on full power. Stir and serve.

Best mushroom sauce
Great quality and perfect with fillet steak. I always get this as opposed to M&S diane sauce as its nice and creamy and right amount of mushrooms.
Not much of it and not much flavour
I wanted it for cooking over chicken but it was so tiny it just was no good. Used a tin of condensed mushroom soup and found the website had loads of recipes on for using condensed soup. Check it out
more mushrooms please!
I'll continue to buy this for its ease of use but it really needs a more pronounced mushroom flavour and less cream. I add sliced cooked mushrooms and half a teaspoon of porcini powder to get the depth of flavour I want.
Tasteless
Absolutely tasteless, you wouldn't know it was supposed to be mushroom apart from the od sliced piece.
what happened to the old mushroom sauce?
They seemed to discontinue the old mushroom sauce (in a tub) that we always buy. Now this one is ok but has a way too acidic taste for me (which I guess came from too much wine or brandy and not enough mushroom??). I couldnt taste the creamy either. What a shame - we will probably still buy occasionally but itll no longer be a stable for us. Need to find something else for my weekly meatball pasta dish.
