doesnt keep its fizz too well
But Im not sure many tonic waters do?!
Good value
This is so much better in value than the other brands. Sure, there's nothing fancy about it but if you just want an everyday tonic for a weeknight g&t, you can't go wrong. It doesn't hold its fizz for too long once opened but that's rarely a problem in our house!
Does the job
for a decent price
Too sweet
I've tried this many times and it seems to get sweeter every time. Tonic isn't meant to be sweet, it's supposed to be bitter, that's the point. Why do virtually all manufacturers think that sugar free or diet or no added sugar products should contain sweetener and actually be sweeter than the original product when it contained sugar. I really hate this artificial sweet flavour especially in things that were never sweet in the first place. Added to that sweetener is not healthier especially in something that didn't contain much sugar in the first place. Why can no-one seem to make something no added sugar that's not ridiculously sweet, maybe even bitter or sour if that's what it's meant to be.
I used to like this
Whenever this was available it was my preferred 'diet' tonic. I feel it has changed or a different sweetener is being used. It spoilt my craft gin due to leaving an unpleasant after taste. (I wonder why there is a big price drop!!)
Good standard diet tonic
Is what it is and I liked it as much as Schweppes.
