Love these but had to bin!
Packed with two lots of raw chicken which leaked over the custards so had to bin. Why can’t they be packed with dairy or at least not with raw meat which happens a lot
Delicious treat
I feel sure theyve improved these custard tarts. The ones I had this week were perfect. Lovely pastry, perfect egg custard and just the right amount of nutmeg on top. Going on next weeks order too.
yum
Nice and delicate with short pastry - lovely treat
very soggy pastry
Custards are usually very nice, but today the pastry was soggy and fell apart when taken out of the case custard nice though
Another vote in favour of the nutmeg!
I always include a pack of custard tarts in my order. They don't always turn up in good condition: sometimes the custard level is much lower than it should be and the filling is on a slant, leading me to fear they've been allowed to warm up too much somewhere along the line. But when they're fit to eat, they're great. As someone who always doubles the amount of mixed spice in a recipe, I love the generous hand with the nutmeg, and I'd be very disappointed if that changed.
Soggy bottoms
Pastry is undercooked, soft and falls to pieces in your hand. Kenny
