Preparation and Usage
How to make the perfect cup of tea:
Use freshly drawn water, as reboiled water dulls flavour and colour. Use one teaspoon per person, plus one extra for the pot. Bring the water to the boil, then add to the tea straight away. Brew for 3-5 mins, remove the tea, then add milk if desired.

What is happening to our tea
I have given up on teabags. I.m just about to give up on traditional loose tea, there isn’t the same taste these days…I’m 73 so had a few cups in my time. This tea unfortunately is like most , verging on being powder…so goes through the strainers….whats happened to the old fashioned tea leaf and I find it tasteless any way…………
Looks like coffee granules
Part of the joy of using proper loose leaf tea is that you can see actual leaves in the pot. Just granules with this tea (Tea bags without the bag?). Taste is OK but if you want to taste proper tea from leaves this is not the one.
My favourite tea
I really like this tea - it has become my go to cuppa for flavour.
not great
I used to really like m and s gold tea when they first released it. Whether my tastes have changed or whether the blend has changed over the years I am not sure but this is no longer a good tea. There is limited depth of flavour and none of the floral and malty flavours it used to have. Just very bland.
Good flavour
But very fine and leaves a residue in the cup
Good loose tea for this price point
Small leaves, yes, but this produces a very decent cup of tea with less tannin than some brands. If you want large leaf tea, you will need to pay considerably more. Luxury might be overstating the case but this is a sound brew for everyday drinking.
