"I’m not quite ready to leave the subject of the roast potatoes behind. I, like my mother and aunts before me, always dredge my parboiled potatoes in a little semolina rather than flour before roasting them, Don’t worry, they won’t taste like the school-dinners-dessert of dreaded memory – though truth be told, I actually rather love semolina pudding – but they will have the most amazing crunch." very very fine
Very fine but does the job for desserts, puddings etc. Won't use it for anything else though as they are far too fine.
great fine semolina!
I really love this fine semolina for making arabic desserts, please ocado bring it back because the coarse texture works for other recipes.
I love this. So quick and easy to make
Great fanof this for a quick and tasty hot dessert. Just follow the packet instructions, add the semolina in a slow stream as you whisk otherwise you get a lumpy mess. I don't find it necessary to strain it. Even better if you top with a little double cream. Fab!
Very fine
I bought this for sliding bread and pizza into the oven. The Waitrose one used to work brilliantly but this is a powder and doesnt feel gritty enough. I notice that there is now a new Ocado product so will give that a go.
Wonderful!
Makes perfect semolina pudding - reminds me of one my father used to make me - love that it’s finely ground so creates a smoother “porridge” - I add almond milk and sugarly, sometimes cinnamon, vanilla essence, caramel or nutmeg too - also works very well when combined with oats
must for the best roast potatoes
Have never tried this as a pudding, as I believe is how most people use it. I use it when roasting vegetables, especially potatoes. You add it when youre mixing them with olive oil and seasoning before you put them in the oven and it makes the best crunchy coating!
