Mouldy on use by date
Opened on use by date, salami was mouldy - never again. My fridge is at the correct temperature.
Appalled at finding mould inside a sealed pack
I had been buying this product regularly as a very useful base for a delicious quick lunch for two with crusty bread and plenty of salad vegetables. However today my pack, although stored unopened in a fridge at a low temperature, and a good week within its use by date, showed signs of mould on all the produce within the sealed vacuum packaging. Only then did I read the reviews, and found to my horror that this has happened to other buyers over the course of several months at least. It shows that something is very wrong with the slicing and packaging in terms of hygiene or contamination, which I find unacceptable and extremely worrying. I shall be avoiding the product in future, which is a pity, and hope that M&S will be made aware or the situation and will do everything possible to remedy it.
